Microneedling Therapy

Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that uses small, sterilized needles to prick the skin. The purpose of this treatment is to generate new collagen and skin tissue to smooth, firm, and tone skin. Microneedling is mostly used on the face and may reduce the appearance of acne, scars, dark spots, wrinkles, and large pores.

Treatment Duration: 30-45 minutes.

Treatment Areas: Face, neck and body areas which have stretch marks and scarring.

How many treatments are needed: To get the full benefits of the treatment, you should get at least 4 to 6 sessions. This gives the skin enough time to make real progress with renewing itself and creating enough collagen and elastin to give long-lasting results. For harder to treat issues like deep scarring, you may need up to eight sessions.

Contraindications: If you have certain skin conditions, such as psoriasis or eczema , have open wounds or active acne, have had radiation therapy recently, have a history of skin scars. People who are pregnant may need to be cleared by an obstetrician or gynecologist before the treatment.

Recovery Period: No down-time but since your skin channels are open and sensitive after your procedure, it’s best to avoid the following during the first week of recovery – sun exposure , skin care products with alpha-hydroxy acids and retinol , makeup and sweating.
