Chemical Peel
A chemical peel is a procedure in which a chemical solution is applied to the skin to remove damaged skin cells, treat wrinkles and correct scars and sunspot discolourations.
Chemical peels contain different types of acids that have varying depths of skin penetration. There are many options depending on your needs and how sensitive your skin is.
Treatment Duration: +- 90 minutes.
Treatment Areas: Face, neck and hands.
How many treatments are needed: Most patients require about 4 to 6 light peels, spaced 1 to 2 months apart, to achieve desired results.
Contraindications: Pregnancy, lactation, rosacea, hypersensitivity, hydroquinone, aspirin allergy, rosacea, extremely sensitive skin.
Recovery Period: For light and medium peels, you’ll experience flaking and peeling skin for 4-7 days after your procedure. For a deep peel, you can expect to be recuperating for up to 2 weeks, with significant peeling as well as some swelling and redness.
